Who is Yoshi?
Yoshi Takahashi is a fashion business strategist with a degree in Strategic Design and Management (BBA) from Parsons School of Design. Born in the Manila, he grew up in Tokyo and spent his young adulthood in New York. His diverse background has provided him with a broad range of cultural influences and perspectives, shaping his ability to navigate and understand global markets.
One of Yoshi's primary goals is to innovate the fashion industry's current business model to align with the principles of the circular economy. This means moving away from the traditional linear model of "take-make-dispose" and towards a more sustainable system where garments are designed, produced, used, reused, and recycled in a closed loop.
Yoshi's approach involves implementing strategies that promote sustainability and circularity throughout the entire fashion value chain. In school, he focused on learning about emerging industry trends such as NFC tagging and blockchain-based supply chain management in order to transition to a circular economy. He is currently looking to redefine the process of reselling, allowing for a more convenient and mass engagement in the preloved fashion industry.
